On September 20-21, internally-displaced people, settled in Gobu Park residential complex, was provided with volunteer medical assistance with initiatives of Korean Embassy to the Republic of Azerbaijan and SEBA (Seoul-Baku) Azerbaijan-Korea Cultural Exchange Association, SEBA told APA.
Gobu Park residential complex, established in Lokbatan settlement of Garadag district, is one of 98 residential complexes, founded for IDPs by state and 1026 families settled here.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Azerbaijan Kim Tong-Op and director of the Clinics Ismat Gasimzade had a speech at the opening ceremony of the event, which is continuation of SEBA Association’s project named ““In sound spirits toward tomorrow” and expressed their gratitude to the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as leadership of the Ministry of Heath for their support. Noted that this event is the 6th volunteer medical service project, carried out by SEBA Association.
Ultrasound, oriental medicine, neurological, gynaecological, endocrinological, cardiological, ophthalmological, therapeutic, pediatric, physiotherapy and laboratory services have been provided by the medical staff of SEBA Korea Oriental Medicine Clinic to nearly 600 residents of “Qobu Park” residential complex. 35 employees of SEBA have attended within the framework of two days event.
Note that about 4000 residents have been provided with voluntary medical services in the projects of SEBA implemented for IDPs since 2007 up today. These services have been carried out in the different regions of Azerbaijan. The service has been provided to 790 people in Gabala in 2007, in Yevlakh 1563, in 2015 260 people in Fuzuli, in 2016 200 people in Beylagan, in 2018 227 people in Jojug Mercanli, and in 2019 in “Qobu Park” residential area to 600 people.
