"A joint pilot project on the exhumation of human remains will be implemented with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in six highly geographically accurate graves of our citizens who went missing in the First Karabakh war," said Ismayil Akhundov, head of the Working Group of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons at a conference today on "Identification of missing persons - Humanitarian approach" dedicated to the August 30 - International Day of the Disappeared with an organization of the State Commission and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) regarding prisoners of war, hostages and missing persons, APA reports.
Ismayil Akhundov noted that currently, it is planned to jointly carry out a pilot project with the Representation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Azerbaijan in the liberated territories from the occupation on the exhumation of the human remains in six highly geographically accurate graves of our citizens who went missing in the First Karabakh war.
