Baku – APA. An Azerbaijani man has been detained for planning an assault on a currency exchange point in Georgia.
An EKOL pistol was found on him during detention, Georgia’s interior ministry said.
Investigations made it clear that he had come from Azerbaijan and settled in a hotel in Rustavi city. He had planned to assault an exchange place in Batumi.
The detainee, whose identity is kept confidential, admitted to having planned an assault.
He is charged with preparation for robbery, which is punishable by 5 to 7 years in jail.
