Law enforcement is responding to reports of an active shooter at McGhee Tyson airbase in Tennessee, the sheriff's spokesman said, APA reports citing Sputnik.
A student on the base saw someone with a rifle and reported it, Lieutenant Colonel Travers Hurst said as quoted by WVLT News.
No injuries have been reported so far, the Tennessee National Guard says on Twitter.
According to Travis Dorman, a reporter with Knoxnews, the base is currently on lockdown and there is a large police presence in the area.
