Russia to transport additional 2 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. Russia will transport additional 2 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey, Kommersant newspaper reports citing to sources.

The additional gas may be transported via Trans-Balkan pipeline: “Turkey needs additional 2 bcm of gas and Russia may deliver this volume to Turkey via Trans-Balkan pipeline”.

According to him, therefore, Russia agreed to reduce the price of gas which transports to Turkey: “Russia will compensate the loss from reduction thanks to additional 2 bcm of gas”.

Gazprom head Alexei Miller confirmed the fact in his interview to Russia 24 TV channel. Miller said the discount on gas sold to BOTAS depends on volume of gas to be transported to Turkey.
