Former director of the National Security Service, leader of the Rodina party Artur Vanetsyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan, spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov and former vice speaker Ara Sahakyan were detained by the Armenian National Security Service, APA reports citing news.am.
Tsarukyan was detained before the rally demanding the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Sharmazanov and Vanetsyan were detained after the rally.
It should be noted that A.Vanetsyan is suspected of committing a crime in accordance with Articles 225.1 and 307.1 of the Criminal Code.
It should be noted that 129 protesters were detained by Armenian police and brought to the police station.
41 of them were released.
