Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov assured on 23 September that no decisions on possible new coronavirus-related restrictions and lockdowns were made at the federal level and at the level of the presidential administration in light of an increase in daily infections, APA reports citing Sputnik.

"This is not under consideration, at least at the federal level and at the level of the presidential administration. The governmental response center is certainly closely monitoring developments, even more importantly, heads of regions are monitoring this. They retain special epidemiological powers, each region knows better," Peskov said at a briefing.

"No decisions have been made anywhere despite the growing figures," the Kremlin spokesman continued.
