Azerbaijan’s local executive authorities were instructed to review places for conduct of election campaigning and to publish the list in the media, Zeynal Naghdaliyev, president’s assistant for territorial and organizational issues, head of department.
Naghdaliyev made the remarks at a meeting held for heads of the district election commissions, APA reports.
He noted that special attention is paid to the preparation of voter lists.
“Webcams were installed at 500 polling stations in 2008. Unfortunately, there were forces that regarded the installation of webcams as pressure on the will of voters. A total of 1,000 webcams were installed at polling stations during the last two elections. We must hold the upcoming presidential election at a high level so that it can be highly assessed by the international community,” the presidential aide added.
