As of July 1, 2017, total foreign liabilities of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at AZN 6,800,400,000, up AZN 174.6 million or 2.64% from previous year.
Central Bank of Azerbaijan said the external borrowing decreased AZN 28.8 million or 0.42% in June 2017.
Compared to December 2016, the external borrowing decreased AZN 424.4 million or 5.87% in June.
As of July 1, 2017, banks’ total foreign assets stood at AZN 3,970,400,000, down AZN 886,900,000 or 18.26% in comparison to a year earlier. Compared to previous months, total foreign assets increased AZN 157 million or 4.12% in June.
