In the 19th season of his football career, Cristiano Ronaldo has consistently and continually proved that he is a legend in the sport, APA reports.

With his most recent move from Juventus to Manchester United, Ronaldo has officially made 177 appearances in the UEFA Champions League. He has now set a new record for the most appearances in the history of the league. The forward’s return to Manchester United brings him yet another milestone as he matches the mark of Spanish footballer, Iker Casillas, who retired in 2019.

His Champions League statistics alone solidifies the illustrious career Ronaldo has had since starting out in 2003. With 177 appearances now under his belt, he has made 135 goals, won five titles, played 19 seasons, had 111 wins, 35 draws, 31 losses and eight hat-tricks. He is also the Champions League player who has scored the most goals at 135. Lionel Messi follows with 120 goals and Robert Lewandowski with 75. Having just returned to Manchester United, it appears that the Portuguese footballer shows no signs of stopping.
