High Representative: "Eastern Partnership countries should effort to approach the EU"

"The European Union (EU) pays great importance to its relations with Eastern Partnership countries," said High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell after meeting with Foreign Ministers of Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova, APA reports.

"The European Union should be proud of the willingness of our partners to approach, even to join the organization. Our Union is not perfect, but seeing membership as a strategic partner for many countries is a great compliment," noted EU High Representative.

According to him, Eastern Partnership countries (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, and Armenia) should effort to approach the EU.
