“One of the points that I'm proud of is that the United States has been the biggest supporter of Azerbaijan's independence and sovereignty for the past 30 years,” said US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lee Litzenberger, APA reports.
Mr. Ambassador noted that the development and use of energy resources by Azerbaijan was the key to the country's political independence.
“This gives an opportunity to Azerbaijan to make its decisions and choices. We support this. In fact, we support the independence of the choices and decisions of the three countries in the region. We want the South Caucasus region to increase and strengthen its independence, stability. How can we achieve cooperation by bringing together three countries of the region? We have focused on this, how we can strengthen transport relations, the economy of the region, we pay attention to this. I consider that there is great potential, wide opportunities for close cooperation of the three countries of the region. We-the US want to support it,” stressed the ambassador.
