Armenia neglects Azerbaijan’s appeal on readiness for unilateral return of bodies of Armenian soldiers

“I would want to stress once more that mechanism of exchange of bodies, as well as captured persons between Azerbaijan and Armenia has already been ready and working for a period of time”, said Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev at the briefing held for representatives of diplomatic corps at the ADA University, APA reports.

H. Hajiyev noted that as a demonstration of good intention, as well as in accordance with the spirit of a humanitarian truce reached in Moscow, the Azerbaijani side appealed to the Armenian side that Azerbaijan is ready to hand over bodies of Armenian soldiers unilaterally: “Unfortunately, the Armenian side neglected this appeal. The Armenian side, Armenian leadership are responsible for it. All of this information will be delivered to relevant international community through official channels.”
