Shusha Police Department relocated to Shusha, commandant appointed

Shusha Police Department has been relocated to Shusha, APA reports.

The employees of the department are already in Shusha city. Chief of Shusha City Police Department has been appointed commandant for the city.

The head of the press service of Azerbaijani MIA Ehsan Zahidov told APA that in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev’s decree “On the organization of temporary special administration in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, by the order of Minister of Internal Affairs colonel-general Vilayat Eyvazov the police departments are being relocated to the liberated regions: “The head of the Shusha City Police Department has been appointed commandant of the city.”

E. Zahidov also noted that in accordance with administrative territorial division of the Republic of Azerbaijan police departments, as temporary commandants, will carry out special management in each district.

Shusha city was liberated from the occupation on November 8 2020.
