United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba about "ongoing" preparations for Kiev's counteroffensive during the telephone conversation, the State Department revealed, APA reports citing Teletrader.
"Ukraine's sovereignty is vital to peace and security in Europe," Blinken stressed, adding that Washington is committed to holding Moscow accountable and supporting Kiev for "as long as it takes."
The United States previously said that the decision to launch a counteroffensive against Russia is solely up to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and that Washington had provided Kiev with nearly all of the requested weapons to enable its counteroffensive.
