Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will travel to New York on Monday to attend the annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations next week, APA reports citing Tasnim News Agency.

Heading a high-ranking delegation, Rouhani is slated to leave Tehran for New York to participate in the high-level meeting of the 193-member UN General Assembly.

Delivering a speech at the 74th UNGA meeting, holding talks with presidents and heads of states, and attending news conferences are on the agenda of Rouhani’s visit to New York.

The US’ delay in issuing visas for the Iranian delegation had put the trip to New York in doubt.
