Iran’s President held a phone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister

Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a phone conversation, APA reports citing İRNA.

During the phone conversation, the parties discussed mutual relations.

Ebrahim Raisi said that there are deep historical relations between the two countries. It is necessary to increase the level of sustainable economic cooperation between Tehran and Yerevan.

"The states that signed the tripartite cease-fire declaration adhere to its provisions and resolve the remaining issues through dialogue and diplomacy is the best way to establish peace and security in the Caucasus region," Raisi said.

Nikol Pashinyan informed about the clashes on the border with Azerbaijan during the phone conversation.

The Armenian Prime Minister also expressed his satisfaction with the development of Tehran-Iravan relations and emphasized that his country is ready to facilitate the transit of goods between the two countries and increase cooperation in infrastructure, including road and energy fields.
