Russian LDP proposes to elect a president by the decision of State Council

It is being proposed to elect President by the decision of State Council in Russia, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

The proposal made by Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Liberal Democratic Party of Russia.

He offered to elect the head of state with the decision of State Council by 2024.

“It is enough to rock the country for 6 months every 6 years. We have a Constitutional body- State Council. There should be gathered the best people in the country, scientists, deputies, ministers, governors. All of them are distinguished people. Let them decide who will be the head of state,” he said.

According to him, such elections can be held in May 2024.
