Kazakh MoD confirms Armenia

Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan (MoD) has officially confirmed that Armenia has refused to participate in the exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in the country, according to Defense Ministry, APA reports citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"We have received official information from Armenian Defense Ministry on its decision on non-participation in the CSTO exercises. We confirm it," noted.

The exercises of the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which will be held from September 26 to October 8 in Kazakhstan, will be held without the participation of Armenia, APA reports citing Sputnik.

“Taking into account the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, based on the tasks assigned to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, decided to refrain from the participation of units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia in the exercises held in Kazakhstan within the framework of the CSTO,” the publication reports.
