On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and France, the Heydar Aliyev Center hosted the opening of a photo exhibition by renowned photographer Reza Diggati entitled "Reza's Inner Odyssey", APA reports.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition jointly organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Embassy of the French Republic in Azerbaijan and the French Institute in Azerbaijan, Soltan Mammadov, head of the Foundation's international relations department, said France was the second country after Turkey. who was appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan in the first years of independence. He stressed the successful cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic, cultural and educational spheres.

Touching upon the importance of the photo exhibition, Soltan Mammadov said that a prominent representative of the Azerbaijani diaspora, Reza Diggati, is a photographer who filmed the rapid reconstruction of our liberated territories today, along with 30 years of occupation and destruction.

Then French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zacharie Gross made a speech. "After Azerbaijan regained its independence, our relations have developed significantly. These relations are very close and cover various areas. We have strong political, economic and cultural ties, and these relations are based on trust. France is committed to supporting a secular, prosperous Azerbaijan in the region." "It remains," the French diplomat said.

The diplomat thanked the organizers for their support in holding the exhibition.

Speaking at the exhibition, photographer Reza Diqqati spoke about his creativity and interest in photography. "I am called a war photographer in the world, but I consider myself a peace photographer. I believe that culture allows for peace and coexistence." The famous photographer said that for 30 years he has tried to bring the realities of Azerbaijan to the world's attention through his photos.
