“The sooner the world begins to acknowledge and understand the true face of Armenia, the sooner it can prevent spread of such a vicious and anti-human ideology as fascism”, said Samad Seyidov, chairman of International relations and inter-parliamentary contacts committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament in his statement to APA.
He said in the current days, when the whole world celebrates the 75th anniversary of the fight against fascism and the victory over fascism, while we are witnessing implementation of the measures aimed at elimination of this ideology, this ideology is being adopted by the country in our region that has occupied our lands: "We are witnessing this today. This is not just about somebody’s grandfather. This refers to the fact that Armenia has been applying just this ideology to Azerbaijan for many years, has occupied our lands, has committed Khojaly genocide. They forced us to live through all these tragedies”.
S. Seyidov noted that today the revelation of these facts once again proves that they are continuing to abide by the fascism ideology: “The erection of Garegin Nzhdeh’s monument by Armenians, the creation of a buffer zone just like the fascists did once, the perpetration of Khojaly genocide against Azerbaijanis by applying the fascists policy of committing genocide against Jews, the implementation of ethnic cleansing are components of the same policy. The greatest offence is that today Armenia wants to thrust on the world its fascist ideology by putting on it a mask of democracy. The true face of this policy should be revealed. The true face of this policy begins to be revealed both by President Ilham Aliyev in the international organizations and by the facts. Such facts as the erection of the monument to Nzhdeh, and the service of the prime minister’s grandfather in the most ruthless section of the fascist army give us grounds to make this statement”.
