Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) will hold a meeting tomorrow to summarize the results of the April 11 presidential election and to submit them to the Constitutional Court, APA reports.
Under the Election Code, the CEC shall summarize the results of the presidential election within ten days from the voting day and submit them to the Constitutional Court for approval. This period, beginning from the April 11, ends up on April 21.
According to the results of the presidential election held on April 11, Ilham Aliyev garnered 86.03 percent of votes in the election, Zahid Oruj – 3.11 percent, Sardar Jalaloghlu – 3.03 percent, Gudrat Hasanguliyev – 3.02 percent, Hafiz Hajiyev – 1.52 percent, Araz Alizade – 1.38 percent, Faraj Guliyev – 1.17 percent and Razi Nurullayev – 0.74 percent.
A total of 3,962,123 out of 5,314,365 people participated in the voting. The voter turnout stood at 74.3 percent
