Lugar Center will have a new test from tomorrow for diagnosing coronavirus, APA reports citing Georgian media.

Georgia will probably have a reagent tomorrow to fight the coronavirus, Amiran Gamkrelidze, the Director of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, said on Monday.

According to him, the issue was being discussed with partners.

"There is a serious coronavirus outbreak in China. According to data released by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, there are 17 205 laboratory-confirmed cases in China and unfortunately, the death toll has risen to 361. 475 people have been recovered and discharged from hospitals,” Gamkrelidze said adding that Georgia remains in low-risk zone for spread of the virus and no case of the coronavirus has been confirmed in Georgia.

The Director of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health said three patients are under observation in the special ward of the infectious hospital.

“Very likely we will have all necessary reagents in the Lugar Center from tomorrow,” Amiran Gamkrelidze said.
