French President Emmanuel Macron (pictured) is set to meet with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte tomorrow in the Netherlands to attempt to break the deadlock related to the European Union's €750 coronavirus aid package, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Rutte leads a group of four states that oppose handing out €500 billion in grants to countries hit the hardest by the coronavirus pandemic. The group supports changing the grants into repayable loans.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who alongside Macron is backing the recovery package, previously called on members of the bloc to "stand together."
