Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi raised the issue of Russia's participation in the Group of Twenty (G20) during a meeting with US President Joe Biden, APA reports citing TASS.
He said this at a press conference on the results of talks with the American leader the day before.
Asked whether the G20 summit in Indonesia, to which the Russian leader was also invited, could be boycotted, the prime minister said:
"On the one hand, we try not to sit at the same table with Putin. On the other hand, some countries want to sit at this table because of the need. In order to achieve peace in Ukraine, it is necessary to think correctly before abandoning these formats. The decision has not been made yet, including because we Europeans must accept it collectively, and maybe we will discuss it at the next meeting."
