Russian Armed Forces are claimed to have suffered five times more losses than Ukrainian military in Bakhmut, unnamed North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) official told CNN on Monday, citing the alliance's intelligence, APA reports.
However, the source also underlined that Armed Forces of Ukraine also lost many soldiers defending the city in the country's eastern city.
Oleksandr Syrskyi, commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, earlier warned that the Wagner Group's additional units had been stationed in the area and that the tension in the battles for the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region had reached a critical point. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that the country intends to bolster its offensive in the city.
