Turkish presidential candidate says 2nd round likely

Ultranationalist candidate Sinan Ogan, who has garnered around 5% of the vote in the Turkish presidential election, expressed his belief that the election is likely to proceed to a second round on May 28, APA reports citing Teletrader.

He stated that neither of the main candidates is currently projected to secure 50% of the vote, which increases the possibility of a second round.

Ogan emphasized the significance of Turkish nationalists and Kemalists in determining the outcome of the election, with their support playing a crucial role.

Previously both the ruling party seeking reelection and the main opposition claimed to be leading in the exit polls.
