Medal matches of the last day of personal competition of judokas have started at the II European Games held in capital city of Belarus, Minsk, APA’s correspondent in Minsk reports.
Azerbaijani judoka Mammadali Mehdiyev has fought for bronze medal. He faced Dutch Noel Vant End in the 90 kg weight category. He has defeated his rival and won bronze medal.
Azerbaijani judokas have won 2 medals in the first two days of judo competitions which has also European Championship status. Rustam Orujov won silver; Hidayat Heydarov bronze medals (both in 73 kg).
Generally, this was 9th medal of our sportsmen (4 silver, 5 bronze).
