As of June 1, 2018, total foreign liabilities of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at AZN 1,863,800,000, down AZN 4,968,400,000 or 3.66-fold from previous year.
Central Bank of Azerbaijan said compared to April 2018, the external borrowing decreased AZN 36 million or 1.9% in May 2018.
As of June 1, 2018, banks’ total foreign assets stood at AZN 5,528,100,000, up AZN 1,714,700,000 or 45% in comparison to a year earlier. Compared to previous month, total foreign assets declined by AZN 152,000,000 or 2.7% in May.
