As of May 1, 2018, total foreign liabilities of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at AZN 1,896,800,000, down AZN 5,199,500,000 or 3.74-fold from previous year.
Central Bank of Azerbaijan said compared to March 2018, the external borrowing increased AZN 7.5 million or 0.4% in April 2018.
As of May 1, 2018, banks’ total foreign assets stood at AZN 5,680,100,000, up AZN 2,241,900,000 or 65.2% in comparison to a year earlier. Compared to previous month, total foreign assets declined by AZN 191,700,000 or 3.3% in April.
