One of checkpoints between Azerbaijan and Iran to operate 12 hours

State Customs Committee told APA-Economics that Shahtakhti and Poldasht checkpoints will operate from 8:30 a.m. till 8:30 p.m. starting October 29. This is carried out in accordance with the memorandum of cooperation in economy and culture as a part of visit of the chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan to Iran’s western Azerbaijan province. This regime will create condition for improvement of use of Shahtakhti-Poldasht checkpoint and increase of trade turnover.

Moreover, loaded vehicles will be allowed to cross the border in the checkpoint. This is an additional stimulus for increase of transit potential of Nakhchivan.
