Baku-APA. Barcelona continued to remain six points adrift of league leaders Real Madrid after the first Clasico of the season finished 1-1 at the Camp Nou with goals from Luis Suarez and Sergio Ramos, APa reports.
After a pretty even first half, Suarez gave Barcelona the lead in the 53rd minute after the Uruguayan made space for himself inside the box to head in a Neymar free kick from close range. Thereafter, Barcelona took control of the game with big chances for Neymar and Lionel Messi to add to the scoresheet but both of them squandered their glorious opportunities.
They were made to rue these mistakes when Real Madrid captain Ramos headed in the equaliser in the 90th minute after Luka Modric, arguably the player of the match, whipped in a free kick into the near post.
