Azerbaijan's Embassy to US addresses Azerbaijanis living in this country

Azerbaijan's Embassy to the US has addressed our compatriots living in this country, the Embassy told APA.

After defeating the military provocation of Armenia against Azerbaijan and inflicting heavy strikes on the enemy, Armenian extremists increase criminal violence acts against our compatriots, including our diplomatic missions in different places of the world, as well as in the US.

“Our compatriots have conveyed their justice voices to the US public through successful rallies and counter-rallies in various US cities and exposed the lies of Armenian lobbyists. Unfortunately, Armenian radical circles attacked civil Azerbaijanis brutally and some of our compatriots were subjected to violence during the protest rally of our country held in front of the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan. As a result, several of our compatriots received serious injuries. We wish a quick recovery to our compatriots who received any injury or were subjected to violence.

We express our deep gratitude to each of our compatriots for the patriotism and national unity demonstrated by them, as well as for proclaiming the rightful voice of our people in the world.

By the instruction of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Mr. Ilham Aliyev, it has been envisaged that the medical costs and the costs of relevant legal assistance issues of our compatriots who sustained injuries in the violence committed in Los Angeles City on July 21 will be paid by the Azerbaijani state. In connection with these topics, the appeal should be made to our General Consulate in Los Angeles.

Taking into consideration the growth of number and degree of violent steps and provocations of the Armenian radicals, we recommend our compatriots to be more cautious and provident, to be aware of the Armenian radicals’ disposition toward violence, to immediately refer to local law enforcement agencies in case of emergence of any violence, threat or danger. Besides, when participating in any campaign or event, our compatriots are insistently recommended to conduct coordination with local law enforcement agencies and to make sure that the security has been fully ensured.

At the same time, we ask our compatriots in cases of violence and threat faced by them to refer to our country’s Embassy in Washington City and our Consulate General in Los Angeles that are responsible for relevant consular districts in the USA in order to receive possible consulate assistance.

Remind that California and other 12 Western states of the USA including Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming states are related to the consular district of our General Consulate in Los Angeles, and our compatriots living in these states may refer directly this Consulate of ours. Meanwhile, our compatriots living in other 37 states may refer directly to our Embassy situated in the capital city of Washington”.
