The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan has congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the occasion of Ramadan holiday, Iran’s embassy to Azerbaijan told APA.

The congratulation address reads as follows: "I feel honored to congratulate the friendly and brotherly people and state of the Azerbaijan Republic on the occasion of the advent of the Sacred Ramadan holiday being Quran’s spring, the month when the God’s grace was bestowed on earth and the rise of the human soul took place.

Ramadan holiday is an embodiment of unity and solidarity among Muslims of the world and strengthening of public ties. On this great gaudy day, the Iranian people declare their solidarity with the Muslim people of the Azerbaijan Republic and insistently stress that they have always been and will remain from now on the side by side with the friendly and brotherly Azerbaijani people and feel proud of this eternal friendship and brotherhood. In the end, we ask the Almighty Allah for honor and prestige for the state and the people of the Azerbaijan Republic, for further strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries and hope that we will celebrate together in the nearest future the happy day of the Azerbaijani people – “the holiday of the liberation of Garabagh and Quds”.

Gracious Allah, let our festive wishes become true and the fasting and prayers of all Muslims be accepted on the Ramadan holiday and let all Muslims benefit from this blessed month.

Goodbye, Ramadan, the greatest month of Allah and the holiday of Allah’s friends!".
