Pakistani citizens evacuated from Azerbaijan

Pakistani citizens have been evacuated from Azerbaijan, APA reports citing Pakistan's Embassy to Azerbaijan.

According to the information, 159 Pakistani citizens, remained in Azerbaijan, have been sent to Islamabad by a plane, belonging to Pakistan International Airways (PIA).

"Most of the evacuated Pakistani people are tourists and businessmen, who arrived in Azerbaijan and could not return to Pakistan due to suspension of international flights regarding COVID-19 pandemics", noted in the information.

It has also been noted that 12 Azerbaijani citizens have been brought to Baku by the plane, which arrived in Azerbaijan for evacuated Pakistani people.

Note that another group of Pakistani citizens has been sent to Homeland a while ago.
