Azerbaijani MFA: Democratic state should not occupy territories of other state

“If the close cooperation with the EU is a part of national identity and national interests of Eastern Partnership countries, then it should achieve the solution of the conflicts between its member states”, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov at the 1st panel discussion titled “Achievements and Challenges in Delivering Concrete Results to Citizens” of a high-level conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership Program, ONA reports.

He stated that sounding of democratic ideas by the new Armenian leadership can create good opportunities for forming political will in this country: “This will enable us to initiate strict and substantive negotiations. Because democratic country should not occupy territories of other country and commit ethnic cleansing”.
