President of Kyrgyzstan: "We will achieve progress during chairmanship of Azerbaijan in Turkic Council"

“The chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan in Turkic Council ends. Uzbekistan was a full-fledged member of the organization during the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan. Observer status was given to Hungary,” President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov said in his speech at 7th Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council), APA reports.

Recalling that the city of Osh has been announced the cultural capital of the Turkic world the President said that the gross domestic product (GDP) of the Turkic Council member states is USD 1,5 trillion.

S. Jeenbekov noted that Kyrgyzstan passes the chairmanship of the Turkic Council to Azerbaijan. “I want to note with proud that Azerbaijan plays an important role in world politics. We believe that during the chairmanship of our brother Azerbaijan in the Turkish Council we will make progress in the economy, transport, and other areas. ”
