“Declaration on allied mutual activity, signed last year shows that 30 years of diplomatic relations are at a high level. Moreover, organizing high-level reciprocal visits between our countries contributed to the strengthening of diplomatic relations and high dynamic was observed in these meetings,” said Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the joint press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Baku, APA reports.
“Stable and positive dynamics is also observed in the trade-economic relations between our countries. In this regard, a rising pace was observed last year too, and we witnessed 34 percent increase in the trade turnover, reaching USD 4 bln. Over the past 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the volume of mutual investments reached USD 9 bln. The activity of the interparliamentary economic commissions and the 20th-anniversary meeting held in Baku last year had a positive effect on the development of trade and economic relations,” noted the minister.
