"The first meeting in the "3 + 3" format had no agenda, but the positive thing is that the discussions in Moscow were constructive," Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov said at a press conference following the meeting with his Iranian counterpart Hussein Amir Abdullahian in Baku, APA reports.
Mr. Bayramov noted that the meeting decided to discuss transport, communications, humanitarian issues, the importance of confidence-building measures, security issues: “It was agreed to hold these meetings in the form of rotation. Also, as you know, this was a meeting at the level of the Foreign Ministry, but it was agreed that other agencies will participate in the meeting, if necessary in the future.
Azerbaijan's Minister added that higher-level meetings in this framework are not ruled out in the future: “We consider the existence of this dialogue useful. At the first meeting, it was also agreed that these meetings will discuss not only those in the South Caucasus but also the processes taking place in neighboring countries in the region and its impact on the region."
