The number of twinning projects implemented by Lithuania in Azerbaijan is more than the projects implemented in other countries of the Eastern Partnership and in the countries of the Western Balkans," said Egidius Navikas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Azerbaijan at the opening ceremony of "Support to pension reform in Azerbaijan – Phase 2", the EU funded Twinning project, APA reports.
"The twinning project is a victory for both sides. Both parties gain and learn from such projects. So far, we have implemented up to 17 projects in Azerbaijan. Currently, we have 6 projects going on".
The ambassador called it the biggest indicator implemented by Lithuania in one country.
