An event dedicated to November 8 - Victory Day was held in Moscow, APA's Moscow bureau reports.

High-ranking diplomats of a large number of diplomatic corps accredited in Moscow, including ambassadors, counselors-envoys and military attachés, deputy of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Nizami Safarov, participant of the 44-day Patriotic War, who fought for the liberation of our lands from invaders, Private Kemal Guluzade, who was awarded the medals "For the liberation of Fuzuli" and "For the liberation of Khojavend", employees of the Russian representative office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, activists of the Azerbaijani Youth Union of Russia, well-known Russian political and military experts, political scientists, well-known representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora and the Russian public attended the event organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia,.

Banners marking Victory Day, as well as photo booths commemorating the 44-day Patriotic War, were put in the event hall.

The event included speeches by the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation, Polad Bulbuloglu, Patriotic War participant Kamal Guluzade, and Milli Majlis deputy Nizami Safarov.

At the organized banquet, guests were presented with a delectable sampling of Azerbaijani cuisine. The ambassadors from many countries attending the event congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on their great victory praised the uniqueness of the military operations and wished the President and the people of Azerbaijan new successes.
