The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia commented on the statement of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that "Armenia is ready to recognize Karabakh as an integral part of Azerbaijan", APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
The official representative of the Russian MFA Maria Zakharova said at the briefing held today that it is the competence of Armenia and its people to make such statements:
"We see the statement of the Prime Minister of Armenia as a confirmation of the position they took at the Prague summit in October 2022. At that time, a joint statement was adopted, and in that statement there was a reference to the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991. The borders between the Soviet Republics chosen in that declaration are known as interstate borders," the Russian MFA official said.
