“Russia has called on Azerbaijani and Armenian sides to refrain from escalating the situation,” said the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova at the briefing today while speaking about the incident that occurred on Armenian-Azerbaijani conditional border, in the Zod residential settlement, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
“Currently, the situation has stabilized. We call on the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides to refrain from the situation. We consider that the settlement of all disputed issues must take place in political-diplomatic ways. We are ready to assist in this in every possible way, including at the tripartite meetings scheduled for May 19, which I have already announced,” she noted.
