Azerbaijan’s e-waste management system on oil-gas industry to be established

The proposals will be developed in order to establish e-waste management system in oil-gas industry in Azerbaijan, the Institutes of Information Technology told APA-Economics.

According to the information, the investigation regarding the noted subject in the current year is considered.

In this direction, the monitoring and compared analysis of the existing situation on e-waste management area in CIS countries will be conducted, as well as the modern management models of that e-waste will be investigated.

So far, the Institute has investigated the e-waste and problems they create for the environment and human health, the world experience on the e-waste management, as well as the monitoring of the existing situation in Azerbaijan and compared analysis with European Union have been conducted.

Note that the investigations on the utilization of electronic waste in the country are also conducted by Tamiz Shahar JSC. Thus, the negotiations are conducted by the institutions in order to involve potential residents operating in this area. Currently, according to the agreement of JSC with Turkish institutions, e-waste is collected and sent to the Turkey. This work is planned to be established in Azerbaijan in future.
