Next meeting of Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission may be held in Tehran

14th meeting of Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission may be held in Tehran in upcoming days, the Embassy of Iran to Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

The phone conversation between Farhad Dejpasand Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of Iran, co-chair of the State Commission on Economic Cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan and Shahin Mustafayev the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan co-chair of State Commission has been held. He has invited his Azerbaijani counterpart to visit Iran.

The embassy noted that touching upon mutual projects between two countries in the North-South corridor, as well as the latest situation on the construction of industrial town in Bilasuvar nearby the border between two countries, Iranian chairperson of State Commission on Economic Cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan have talked about some existing problems regarding drivers of Iranian transit trucks at the entrances and exits of the Republic of Azerbaijan and asked for help from Shahin Mustafayev to solve the problem of this hard-working class.

In his turn Sh. Mustafayev expressed his gratitude to the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the attention paid by them to the expansion of the bilateral cooperation and said in order to wage fight against coronavirus and to bring down to a minimum the negative impact of the spread of this disease on the country’s economic sector, the government has taken many steps by preparing comprehensive and detailed plans for supporting of the sensitive sectors of the society, the employers and the economic activists.

He also said in response to the ideas raised by the Iranian side regarding the joint projects that each topic will be separately discussed with responsible executives of relevant state agencies and these projects will be finalized in the shortest time as a result of the close cooperation.
