Copies of the versions of Azerbaijani dastans (an ornate form of oral history) "Asli va Karam" (under the name "Hekayati Karam") and "Ashg Garib" (under the name "Ashg Garib and Shahsanam Khanum") written in Arabic script in the 19th century were obtained from the National Library of Paris by the deputy director of ANAS' Institute of Manuscripts named after Mahammad Fuzuli, Pasha Karimov, APA reports.

It was noted that the first work called "Hekayati Karam" consists of 157 pages. In 1850, it was written in Nastaliq font. Unlike the Baku editions, the events take place not in Isfahan, but in Shiraz.

The second manuscript is the oldest copy of the dastan"Ashg Garib". It was written in Nastaliq font in 1838-1839. The verse part of the 65-page manuscript consists mainly of qoshmas.
