78 Georgian citizens were deported from Germany, ONAreports citing apsny.ge.

According to the report, Georgian citizens have been deported from Dusseldorf on a special flight due to the violation of the visa liberalization rules which allows Georgians to stay in the Schengen Zone.

Note that the European Union has urged Georgia to solve the visa-free regime problem.

In March 2019, European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn stated that Georgian citizens would not get asylum in EU countries at a meeting of the Georgian-EU Association Council in Brussels.

Thus the EU considers Georgia a safe country.
