Türkiye ranks world’s 12th largest arms exporter

In 2018-2022, Türkiye became the twelfth country that exported the most weapons, noted in the report of Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), APA reports.

It's noted that during the reporting period, Türkiye's share in global arms exports was 1,1 percent.

In 2018-2022, the country to which Türkiye exported the most weapons was Qatar. During this period, 20% of Türkiye's total arms exports fell to Qatar. UAE (17%) and Oman (13%) were ranked second and third. In 2018-2022, Türkiye surpassed countries such as Canada, Sweden, Australia, Poland, Belarus, Norway, and the Republic of South Africa in global arms exports.
