“I extend my gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, he has not left us on captivity,” said Azerbaijani serviceman Anar Aliyev, who was in Armenian captivity, at today’s press conference, APA reports.

He noted that he voluntarily joined battles: “I was captured by the Armenians on November 10. Their soldiers also tortured us. But the doctors subjected us to the most terrible tortures.

There we were also subjected to moral torture. We did not lose heart over this. I spent 12 days in prison in Yerevan. When we slept, they came and beat us. During the day we managed to sleep for only 1 hour, and then standing. When we were brought here on December 14, we did not know where we were being sent. On the plane, we learned that we were being transported to Baku. We learned that thanks to the efforts of the President of our country, the names of Dilgam and Shahbaz were included in the list. We have not experienced the torture they were subjected to there for 6 years. We were very happy about this."
