Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan-Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev has commented on the results of mutual visits of Azerbaijani and Armenian journalists, APA reports.

Mr Hajiyev noted that negotiations with the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs continue.

H. Hajiyev has noted that Armenia is continuing its destructive policy again: “Armenia is making barriers for a negotiation process in this or that way. Firstly, contradictory statements, sounded by the Armenian side are seriously damaging the negotiation process. When it comes to mutual visits of journalists, it is one of the essential conditions that Armenian journalists inform Armenian society on the things they have seen themselves while visiting Azerbaijan. We should take into consideration that at the state level a very serious provocation is conducted in Armenia. The basics and reasons of Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Garabagh conflict are seriously distorted. In such a situation, there were a necessity and need to inform the Armenian community by journalists about the viewpoint of Azerbaijan regarding the conflict. On this basis, reciprocal visits of journalists on the initiative of co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk group were carried out. This was one of the first carried out initiatives. However, there is not  information about initiatives on reciprocal visits of NGOs of Azerbaijan and Armenia yet.”
